What do I need to know about the 2024 season at RYC?

What age does my child need to be to attend lessons?

Our Morning Program is designed for children 4+ years of age. To attend, children must have turned 4 by June 30, 2024.

Our Afternoon Program is for children 8/9+ dependent upon available space and skill level. Please contact our Office Manager if your child is outside of these age ranges. These age ranges could change depending on numbers and ages of children that register.

How do I register?

Online seasonal registration will be open April 2, 2023.  Weekly registration begins April 29, 2024. Check back here for more details.

In-person registration for the 2024 season will take place from 10AM-12PM on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Rondeau Yacht Club 10:00am-12:00pm dependent
on availability.

What forms do I need to fill out to register?

Upon registration you will be sent a link to complete our registration form. Your space is not confirmed until both payment and registration forms have been received by the RYC. In addition to our registration form, you will be required to complete our liability and photo waiver. This will be available online, and in person on the first day of program attendance and must be completed prior to program participation.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, cheque, e-Transfer, and credit card payments.

What should my child wear and bring?

Your child should arrive to RYC wearing:

  • Bathing suit
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat (if desired)
  • Water shoes (if desired)

Your child should bring:

  • Towel
  • Light snack
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Life jacket or PFD (if desired)

Personal belongings will be stored in baskets inside and outside the RYC Clubhouse during program hours. It is not advisable to bring electronics or valuables as these
baskets may get wet.

Do you supply life jackets and PFDs?

We encourage members to bring their own, properly-fitted life jacket or PFD. The RYC has many life jackets and PFDs available for loan on a first-come, first-serve basis. All members must wear a life jacket or PFD while sailing, canoeing, or windsurfing.
